PSBA Annual Bonsai Auction

Welcome to the 2019 PSBA Annual Bonsai Auction page!!

This year the auction will be held on June 1st, at the Pacific Bonsai Museum in Federal Way. The museum opens at 10AM and the auction begins at 1PM.

Members and friends of Puget Sound Bonsai Association will auction off over 200 specimens of bonsai and bonsai related items. Over 60 high quality, refined bonsai will be offered in a live auction setting hosted by auctioneer... Approximately 150 items will by sold by silent auction. See rules below and preregister for your auction paddle here. Avoid the rush at the door, pay for your auction paddle online and pick it up at our will call table on the day of the event. 

Rules of the event:

1. All sellers, bidders and buyers must purchase an auction "paddle" for $5. PSBA will donate the paddle fees to the Pacific Bonsai Museum.

2. If you bid on an item and "win" it, please pay for it before you leave the premesis.

Tree Submission:

Please contact our auction coordinator regarding high value ($100+), refined trees that you want to submit for the live auction.

Silent auction items may be sold individually or by lot (group of items). There will be a minimum of $20 value (purchase price) per lot, no more than five lots per person, and must be registered by 12:30PM on the day of the auction. We will accept no items after 12:30PM and no more than five lots per person. Items not sold during the auction are still subject to the sellers fee and must be picked up by the seller before the end of the day or they may be considered donations to PSBA.

Seller's fee: For live and silent auction items a sellers fee of 10% of the item/lot sale price for each lot, sold or not, will be assessed prior to payout.

Buyers are also required to pay a 10% fee, which will be assessed at the time of checkout. The total of seller fee and buyer fee or 20% per item goes to PSBA.

Rules for sellers:

Each seller must purchase an auction paddle for $5 which PSBA donates to PBM. Sellers of silent auction items must register their items at the silent auction desk between 10AM and 12:30PM on the day of the auction. All auction items that do not sell must be picked up by 4:00PM when PBM closes. Unsold items that are not claimed may be considered donations to PSBA. 

Rules for buyers:

Each buyer must purchase an auction paddle for $5 which PSBA donates to PBM. Silent auction items must be claimed and paid for by 4PM. Winners of silent auction items must check in at the silent auction desk to receive two copies of their claim tickets for each item they won, which they take to the cashiers table for payment. Please be sure to have all of your silent auction items tickets and live auction item numbers handy when you go to the cashiers table.
