Below are photos of a sampling of trees that will be auctioned in the 2026 Live Auction.
Around 80 trees will be available in the live auction this year.
*Please review these rules!
This event is our biggest club fundraiser. It is very well attended. Participate by providing auction materials and volunteering to help create this great event.
Ways to participate:
Buy or Sell:
All Buyers and Sellers must register
and pay for a numbered paddle to be picked up when they arrive at the auction.
Paddles cost $12.00 prior to the event or $15.00 on the day of the event.
Paddle fees are donated to the venue, Pacific Bonsai Museum.
All bidders must buy a paddle. No paddle = no bidding.
Buyers pay no sales tax but there is a 10% “Buyer’s Premium”
donation to the PSBA club.
Pre-registration (including paddle payment) is required for sellers
and strongly encouraged for buyers.
The Live Auction
The submittal window for the live auction is now closed.
All sellers will soon be notified whether their tree has been accepted.
We ask that you refrain from offering or selling the submitted trees elsewhere in the meantime.
Live auction lots should generally be fairly refined, well-established trees in a display container (ceramic pot, slab, etc.). Trees in earlier stages of development and/or in training pots, nursery cans, wood boxes, etc. are generally better suited to the silent auction, though exceptions can be made at the committee's discretion.
15% of selling price will be retained by PSBA as a commission. Sellers employing reserve pricing in the live auction will be charged $50 for any passed lots (those that don’t meet reserve).
Silent Auction
Rules:
There are 50+ lots in the silent auction to be bid on up until time of closing.
Each “lot” consists of one item or multiple items to be sold as one.
Each Paddle buyer may enter up to two (2) silent auction lots.
Enter your silent auction lot details on your paddle registration form.
Minimum value per lot: $25
The silent auction is looking for approximately 50 lots. This page will be updated when the lots are full.
THE SILENT AUCTION IS NOW FULL.
If you have any questions,
just send an email to PSBAauction@gmail.com.
Donate:
Consider donating items to support the club. We will accept items for the silent or live auctions, or for raffling off at our club meetings. And, of course, a monetary donation is welcome as well.
Volunteer!
Get up close and personal with great trees. Meet other PSBA members and support your club.
Teams of volunteers will work on Friday, June 5th for Set-up and Tree intake; and Saturday June 6th to support the auction.
We need help for; setup, check in/out, greeter/membership table, tree movers, silent auction support, live auction bid tracker, security, break-down and more.
To join our happy band of volunteers, contact PSBAauction@gmail.com, please indicate any preferences.
Auction Registration:
This is a two step process. First, fill out the registration form. Second, follow the link presented after submitting your registration form to visit our Square Webstore and pay the registration fee. You will not be registered until we have the registration form and payment. This will reserve your auction bidder number and paddle, which you must pick up when you arrive at the auction on Saturday, June 6th.
A paddle fee payment link to our Square site will be displayed IMMEDIATELY AFTER you SUBMIT your form. Remember, your silent auction or live auction lot space is not held if you do not pay the paddle fee.
Arrive early to take in the World Class Bonsai Collection at the Pacific Bonsai Museum ahead of the auction. (Museum opens at 10:00 AM)
Special thanks to the Pacific Bonsai Museum for providing their world class venue for the PSBA’s largest fundraising event of the year.
